it's funny like Half-Life and Doom and Quake and Halo are all these big time FPS games but I don't really have anyone in my immediate friend group that actually plays or knows much about them

I zoned out at work thinking what if Half-Life 3 is real and got revealed while I was busy at work and realized I probably wouldn't see much about it because all the video game people I follow here are extreme weebs

I guess the simple answer as to why there's so many DX and Remasters and updated versions of JRPGs that are still available for current systems is just because the Nintendo Switch 2 is a thing now and it's a goldmine for sales in Japan.

The completely unnecessary Tales of Berseria Remaster got me thinking: Why do anime RPGs rerelease themselves so often that you'll see the same game over and over on the same platforms and systems? Like I get bringing older titles over, but like Ys X and Atelier Ryza also just did this.
