Correction of what I said about Cleisthenes. He was first banished from Athens by King Hippias. After Spartans overthrew Hippias, Cleisthenes returned to Athens but Isagoras got Spartans to banish him again. After Isagoras was exiled, Cleisthenes returned to Athens and established democracy.
