Thinking today about this sentence:

"Every $100 increase in median rent is associated with a 9 percent increase in the estimated homelessness rate, according to a 2020 report by the U.S. Government Accountability Office."
Inflation is making homelessness worse
Rising housing costs, combined with persistent inflation for basic necessities like gas and food, have left more Americans newly homeless and millions more fearing they’ll soon lose their homes.

Trump's promise of $1,776 for service members last night -- which was supposed to be a tariff thing -- is in fact theft from increased housing allowances.

More than $2.9 billion in reconciliation funds was allocated to beef up troop housing allowances. Now it’s being used for $1,776 checks.

Usually, when I need an appointment at the VA, I can get one within 2 weeks. Today, I called for an appointment and the next available is in May, 2026. Firing 35K people will do that. The Trump administration hates veterans.

As a reminder: Trump is rewarded for saying the most insanely hateful things if you, like sheep, simply disseminate it for him even on platforms where is largely blocked.

10 years in and he still plays you all like a fiddle.

I know it shouldn't at this point but it still boggles my mind that trump will get cheers from vets, military families, midshipmen and cadets today at the Army Navy game.

Propaganda works, folks.
Exclusive: The Department of Veterans Affairs will abruptly eliminate as many as 35,000 health care positions this month, mostly unfilled jobs.

The cuts come after a massive reorganization effort already resulted in the loss of almost 30,000 employees.
VA plans to abruptly eliminate tens of thousands of health care jobs
Strains on the Veterans Affairs system could grow with the elimination of as many as 35,000 mostly unfilled health care positions, including doctors and nurses.

Let’s all be perfectly clear on JD Vance.

JD Vance *is* Peter Theil.

Peter Theil has put JD Vance wherever Peter Theil wanted Vance to be.
Everyone wonders how the guy who said “Trump is America’s Hitler” got to be trumps running mate?
Because Peter Theil said he was trump’s running mate.
