There has never been an election season more primed to elect progressive Democrats than 2026. That's why we need to promote them as much as possible. Peggy Flanagan is running for Senate in Minnesota and is endorsed by Bernie Sanders.

Ban private equity from buying up homes, ban ownership of more than one home by non-US residents that is being used as an investment property.
So what is the easiest, most realistic way to fix housing costs?
December 10, 2025 at 6:15 PM
I love it when some low level Republican is like…”uh crap, we ran on lowering costs, we should maybe,
Uhh, do that?” - like bro, your party will spontaneously combust before it does anything to help working people.

Everyday I see shit that would win Democrats like 50 house seats if they bothered to message on it aggressively
Duffy: "I don't have a plan to reduce costs."

Dont tell me this guy is our best choice just because he reaaally wants to be President and looks like he plays one on TV.
Gov. @gavinnewsom says he disagrees with Mayor @zohrankmamdani about the need for a wealth tax on billionaires, which he is “adamantly against” - says Dems are a “big tent party” with both views.

Was actually thinking this. Yeah after 2-4 years of clownish fascism voters will put Dems back in power, but if it’s just the usual do-nothing corporatists leading the party, we’ll just get Trump 2.0 one or two election cycles later.
I'm not an 'there won't be elections' doomer. I'm a long-term doomer. I think the pendulum will swing back and Dems will regain power and then face an even more hostile press than before and won't have the votes to restructure the courts and we'll be in this awful cycle for the rest of my life.
December 5, 2025 at 8:00 PM
My hot take is I would rather ultra-conservative Dems just switch parties and be done with it:

1) this ends the pretense that they're liberal/left

2) it allows them to be defeated by a likely more progressive candidate on the Dem line
Trump pardoned Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar of Texas (an repeated progressive target in Dem primaries, he narrowly survived multiple times) from bribery and conspiracy charges.

Cuellar just thanked him profusely on social; obvious questions as to whether Cuellar switches parties.

What’s is gonna take for House Dems to kick this useless weakling out of leadership
For some reason Democratic leaders seem to prefer telling voters what they won’t be able to do, rather than what they’d like to do.

If Hegseth ordered a war crime and lied about it, shouldn’t Ds try for impeachment? Put Rs on the spot. They might get a few defections.

Jeffries says not to expect Democrats to pursue Hegseth impeachment over boat strikes
"Republicans will never allow articles of impeachment to be brought to the floor," he said.

Lots of people sharing this clip because it's funny and cathartic but I also genuinely believe it's important.

We have to win the narrative battle between "I live in a corrupt society and that's just how it is" and "I live in a corrupt society and we are going to defeat and humiliate these ghouls."
Good morning to Brazilian reporter Manuela Borges, who’s been waiting eleven years for this petty moment. ❤️ 🇧🇷

Also four Dems representing parts of the city Mamdani just won - Jeffries, Torres, Meeks, Meng.
4 senior House Dems — Hakeem Jeffries, Katherine Clark, Pete Aguilar, & Ted Lieu — voted for a Republican-led resolution to “CONDEMN SOCIALISM,” a symbolic measure that passed the chamber on Wed. The vote comes as NYC mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani is set to meet with Pres. Donald Trump at the WH today.

In age group 18-29, Kat leads Biss by *22 points*, meaning that if she turns out young + new voters in the same way Mamdani did, she’s absolutely gonna win.
NEW IL-09 poll with the Justice Coalition Action: Daniel Biss and Kat Abughazaleh are tied for first in the Democratic primary with 18% of the vote.

Laura Fine trails in third with 10%, and all other candidates receive 6% or less of the vote.

We’re a big, huge tent - there’s even a section for lunatic Republicans! This strategy has worked so well this past decade!
The “big tent” thing was always a transparent rebuke of the growing power of the left inside the Democratic Party.

The mantra also came to embody the problems of the modern party—namely that it doesn’t actually stand for anything.

Here we have reached its logical, laughable extreme. Beyond parody.
Raskin: We are a big tent. We must be a huge, vast tent. I say this is a party that’s got room for Marjorie Taylor Greene if she wants to come over.

This is pathetic man. You lost eight members of your caucus in the most significant showdown of this administration and you’re crying on the phone about how there’s nothing you could do.
cnn.com CNN @cnn.com · 24d
As eight senators in Chuck Schumer's caucus broke ranks to side with Republicans and vote to end the government shutdown fight he had engineered, the New York Democrat was on the phone trying to make it clear it wasn't his fault.

Blue states need to turbocharge their democracy reforms. Get ranked choice voting going! Do what Seattle did and do democracy vouchers to counterbalance rich spending! Reform primaries to be nonpartisan top 5 where all independents and 3rd parties can vote! Automatic voter registration and mail-in!

If Democrats knew how to communicate they’d plaster posters of this guy with a “TRUMP RELEASES CRIMINALS” tagline as far as the eye can see.

Why do I get this sneaking feeling that the Epstein files are this Trump term’s version of the Mueller investigation - a huge hyped up thing that liberals hinge all their hopes on and turns out to have minimal to no effect on anything.

This is actually good spin, or would have been. But the fact that the Democratic cave happened without even a coordinated, agreed-upon message like this indicates the depth of the leadership void.
