Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens.

A story about a teacher doing everything he can to try and help a bunch of outcast no hope students reach their dreams getting banned down at the state that has shit rank in education that is S.Carolina is almost too on the nose.

Debate over whether Trump's 1.7% popular lead is a mandate misses what's happening. Of course nor; of course he'll say it is; & of course this is bickering over a pre-Trumpocene term. We fight fascism not because of its vote margin but because it's fascism. Had he won by 20 pts, we'd fight fascism.
