Donating to @maskblocla.bsky.social is an excellent way to help folks in LA right now. They have been all over the place going to evacuation shelters handing out N95 respirators the past few days and are even planning to reimburse people for donating their own masks. They could rly use our support!
Was anyone else deeply confused as a child about the line in The Night Before Christmas where the narrator “tore open the shutters and threw up the sash?” I didn’t understand why he opened up the window to barf, nor why he had eaten a sash(?), but the urgency made sense.

Handy info to have before buying a print! Also if the artist offers to print in a different size for you, take them up on it. Don’t be like me and turn it into a whole art retrofitting project that takes six months. (It did give me an excuse to use the hammer loop on my coveralls… but never again.)

Every time I emerge from a crash (or in this case a flare-up of *some new mystery thing*), I can hear my brain ready to go full “I get knocked down, but I get up again!” It doesn’t want to hear that just because we have energy and aren’t in pain doesn’t mean we need to clean/bake/fix all the things

Every time I emerge from a crash (or in this case a flare-up of *some new mystery thing*), I can hear my brain ready to go full “I get knocked down, but I get up again!” It doesn’t want to hear that just because we have energy and aren’t in pain doesn’t mean we need to clean/bake/fix all the things
I just think the frequency with which people Google their symptoms says a lot about the state of our medical care in the US. Also owww 😓
