This is the entire problem, neatly summed up: an entire genre of older person sees political decisions as deeply personal. Saying that gerontocracy is bad for the country reads as "dunking on the olds" because they see politicians as protagonists instead of public servants
Millennials don’t have to post about “the gerontocracy” when someone’s just died a horrible death from cancer. The millennial passion for dunking on “the olds” can wait a day. Also, I guarantee that millennials will be the most insistent on holding onto their power when they reach that age.

If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.
