I was a bit worried that #Duvetknowitschristmas wouldn't make much money this year but the move to Bluesky seems to have been a huge success.

Please donate if you can www.gofundme.com/f/duvet-know...

And a big thanks to @rhodri.biz for this wonderful Christmas eve tradition.

To all the awesome people using #AltText on their images, I love you. You make me feel included. Thanks.

One other quick tip. capitalize the first letter of each word in your hashtags.

Please don’t rely on automated tools to write alt text!

Sure, AI is getting better at being able to recognise what’s in an image, but its context that matters!

See my example, where the same image, in two places, needs different alt text: www.craigabbott.co.uk/blog/how-to-...

Clear evidence the hard-right are using farmers' protests to push their own agenda.

Lee Anderson finishes his PMQ with a bizarre nod to the Rachel Reeves CV 'truther' nonsense.

And deeply misogynistic to call the Chancellor 'Rachel from Accounts' - especially on Equal Pay Day.

Important context here:

● over half of farms are less than 49 acres (20 hectares)

● "a big farm" is 217 acres.

Now let's see who's angry:

● Clarkson farm is 1,000 acres
● Lloyd Webber farms 4,000 acres
● Viscount Rothermere (Mail owner) 4,700 acres
● Dyson owns 36,000 acres
A message from a REAL farmer who hasn’t been brainwashed by the Tories, wealthy landowners and the right wing media👇🏽

You know who hasn't had this degree of media support for their financial interests? Disabled people, poor people with more than two kids, public sector workers (after all that clapping for the NHS). I'm not usually a 'blame the media' person but seriously - this is mad

At the end of The Empire Strikes Back the rebels are desolate. Han Solo is frozen in carbonite. Luke Skywalker has been defeated in battle by Darth Vader, losing a hand in the process. The Emperor's victory was total.... until the Jedi returned.

Not sure what made me think of that.
