National Guardsmen now stationed outside our DC building confirmed that the only thing they can do if they witness a crime is call 911. The have no more authority than my office mate to intervene. Despite the handcuffs, they can't make arrests. They are very expensive mall cops.

This is an OK piece on how drones could potentially be used for terrorism in the U.S….but the example case cited here, in which Neo-Nazi Skyler Philippi plotted to blow up an energy facility with a drone in 2024, has been, IMO, overblown as an example of a drone terrorism near-miss:
