@septa-social.bsky.social Can someone please explain why the last two eastbound trains have gone right through 46th Street without stopping? There's a platform of people waiting for their train.

We have been careful to avoid using the word coup, but it’s time to call it what it is—this is a coup. Trump signed an executive order granting only the attorney general or the president the authority to interpret laws executed by the executive branch.

Fight, resist, gum up the works, sabotage their agenda in every large and small way.
Work under the assumption that no one is coming to save the day and it's up to every individual to do whatever is in their capacity to stop this.
Everything. Everywhere. All the time.
Fight, by every definition.

Reminder: Black history offers many examples of fighting authoritarianism, so one doesn't always have to look to Europe. Nazi lawyers looked to Jim Crow for inspiration for their racist laws. Read as much about struggles against Jim Crow as you do about other examples of resisting authoritarianism

Went out walked around my neighborhood tonight to absorb some of the communal joy. I don't care much about football, but I really love how much joy Philly gets from these big wins. People are gonna do stupid shit out there tonight, but the citywide celebration gives me all the feels. I 💜 u, Philly

There's validity in saying someone needs to help exMAGAs back to the real world after they leave their cult.

But.

I used to be really good at hearing people from the other side and explaining things calmly and kindly.

I don't think I'm capable of that now. I don't know if or when I'll get there.

I sincerely don’t know why people aren’t physically stopping those dorks. Move shit. Lock doors. Lose the keys. Everyone switch seats. Turn off all the lights. Switch the signs on the elevator lobby. Make the settings all silly. Use a different language. Wear costumes. Fill rooms with balloons

We were just told that they won’t let us in. They are denying entry to 2 dozen members of Congress. Elon Musk has all our private information & we have no idea what he’s doing with it. This is happening completely behind closed doors. HELL NO. It’s illegal. We demand oversight!

Thousands hit the streets today against #ICE + Trump's authoritarian push for mass deportations. Demonstrators shut it down in cities across Texas, California, Georgia, Missouri, Washington + beyond.

In Pflugerville, TX, people protested outside the site of a proposed ICE prison.

SHARE WIDELY.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.

With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights.

You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one.
