There is SO MUCH good erotic literature in the world. Why in the hell would you let some a half-ass computer program that’s spying on you guess-barf up a bunch of text, when you could read something that a real human person carefully crafted and put their love into.

Oh good, ChatGPT is getting "erotica for verified adults" later this year

We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.

this is a scary time to be out, so now more than ever authors should not be required to out themselves to make their books more “worthy” of your support. You *can* highlight authors who are out publicly, but all it needs is trans/gender expansive rep to count

gender is a spectrum. No two experiences are going to be identical, so it’s well worth reading and learning about as many as you can!

not all nonbinary, third gender, indigenous, 2spirit, gender expansive people identify as trans, so please keep that in mind and seek out the language these people use for themselves to describe them. Be specific and mindful in your own descriptions.

above all, support and uplift the real people this event is here to celebrate. Do what it takes to treat everyone respectfully, and have fun!

I've been on ADHD medication for a week and I'm starting to think that maybe there's something to this medication thing. 😂 Every other time I've taken meds it either hasn't been noticeable or has made me feel gross. So happy I finally have meds that make me feel good.

Please feel free to reach out. It’s easy to feel like there are people more deserving than you for any kind of charity, but focused efforts to help rebuild individual lives can have lasting effects that help everyone around you.

Everyone I know who had help rebuilding their lives from major disasters or addiction or health issues or whatever else other reasons have all been far more driven to help their communities and uplift people who have had to walk their paths.

Organizations and charities and mutual aid, they all cover different aspects of rebuilding. We all deserve stability and safety in this life.

The fires don’t prioritize those who are “more deserving,” so let’s us at least try to help those we can.
