I think something key in enjoying social media is how much pessimist, self-defeating stuff you allow yourself to see there.
These days someone quote-tweeting something grim saying "we're so fucked" will make me mute them immediately.
That stuff adds up, it will poison your brain. Stop looking at it.

If you dislike something or it makes you uncomfortable, that’s okay! But you don’t need to let the creator know. You don’t need to let anyone know, honestly. You can just ignore it and move on with your life. Fandom is about enjoying the things you like, not bashing the things you hate.
