Winter in Japan is coming to an end. This year saw record-breaking snowfall, likely reported worldwide. However, it didn’t feel like much since the heavy snow lasted only a short time. It was a strange year.
Still, those fleeting moments created beautiful landscapes, and glad I took them in photos.

Mitch McConnell, the mothball mafia don of the senate, won't be seeking re-election. Will the rest of the gerontocracy follow suit?

As of April, Japan will make high school free for all with a budget revision that lifts income limits on subsidies to pay school course fees. Japan's far right is lambasting the move as a waste of taxpayer money. However, public opinion polls show fairly broad support.
Polls: Japan Approves of Free High School for All - Unseen Japan
While some far-right elements oppose the new measure as an additional taxt burden, many in Japan seem to favor it.

ICONIC: Yosemite National Park workers just hung an upside-down American flag—THOUSANDS of feet up on El Capitan. That’s not decoration. That’s a distress signal. They’re telling us the country is in danger. Are you paying attention?

AOMORI MENTION 🗣️🗣️🗣️ I LIVED THERE
Incredible amounts of snow falling in areas of Japan - the Sukayu region, south of Aomori City, has seen build ups of 500 cm/16 feet of snow. This serves as a reminder that parts of Japan are amongst the snowiest places on earth. Below, JR employees dig out lines in northern Tohoku.

DOGE’s accounting of its “savings” is riddled with sloppy mistakes. The five largest cuts that it listed on its website earlier this week were all incorrect — making the savings look far larger than they were in reality.

Make the switch to Libro.fm from Audible ❤️ We might not have a space ship or fancy ads with celebrities critiquing listening speeds, but we do support independent bookshops (and in our opinion, that's way better).
