There are now cement trucks entering the White House construction site, which is not what you'd expect for a project that hasn't been reviewed by anyone yet.
The White House has previously said no NCPC approvals are needed yet because they're just doing demo, not construction.

As someone who has been AT-adjacent my whole life (I've hiked the Presidentials, through-hikers stop and shop near my grandparents' house) it was fascinating and refreshing to read Rusty's blisters-and-rain-and-all account

The main thing I wanted to emphasize is that the bulldozing of procedure, precedent, and expert consultation is the same phenomenon we've seen in every other aspect of the Trump Presidency.
In the case of the East Wing, that informal structure was particularly weak because of its history.

It's great that Entertaining is going back in print BUT (and this was overlooked in the doc as well) the real Martha Stewart taste moment was the *magazine* which walked the Modern Farmhouse line better than any current developer because her color sense is top notch
