I don't know the southern half AT ALL because my hiking family is all in New England. My kids both climbed Mt Washington at their camp.

The main thing I wanted to emphasize is that the bulldozing of procedure, precedent, and expert consultation is the same phenomenon we've seen in every other aspect of the Trump Presidency.
In the case of the East Wing, that informal structure was particularly weak because of its history.
