So 88 Pictures, an Indian animation studio, ripped off shots/choreography for their episode of Star Wars: Visions (from season 2). Disney, of course, is getting the blame. www.reddit.com/r/StarWars/c...

John Oliver deserves another Emmy for last night's episode. It was obvious from the beginning that the intent was to raise money for PBS/NPR but I really did not expect how far the episode went and it was immensely entertaining the entire time.

I saw an ad that had an AI disclaimer on it and the disclaimer misspelled "advertisement" so that's where we're at now

One thing I love about Spy × Family is that we still don't know how old Anya is. She's not six (she lied to Loid). She could be as young as four which, in my opinion, makes her shenanigans mighty impressive. She's even keeping up (barely) with schoolwork that's at least a year above her!

I saw a Reddit post asking if $600 was enough of a food budget to live in NYC and most of the replies were "no" and now I'm starting to think all the avocado toast jokes had a point

This is giving me a stroke.
You can’t just point to Brooklyn and call it all Park Slope.

What's a show where you watched one episode and said, "nah, I'm good" and never watched any more of it?

My mom watched the first episode of Twisted Wonderland and messaged me "this is very Japanese" and after watching it I'm embarrassed.

If nations had a "right" to exist then we couldn't have revolutions
This is an entirely uncontroversial view in international law and usually taught in 101.

Last week I went to the New York Sign Museum for my birthday and it was very cool.

anyway I felt I needed to prove I do touch grass pretty regularly; I just don't post about it a lot

This is what the term "emotional labor" was originally coined for, folks.
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.
Target is now requiring its employees to smile more
As the holiday season fast approaches, Target is urging its employees to add a little more “jolly” to their work routine.

Sorry folks, but I found NDT's Cosmos soooooo boring.

Death by Lightning is phenomenal and has everything: Michael Shannon looking uncomfortable, Matthew Macfadyen being a huge loser, Shea Whigham screaming obscenities, Nick Offerman being a corrupt drunk and shouting for the sausage man, a plot that starts out as Conclave and turns into Stan...

Random observation tonight: YouTube changed how it registers views (again), because I have a ton of stuff in my history tonight that I did not watch, but just happened to be in the search results. I guess it's counting just having the thumbnail on the screen now? Gross.

Watched Frankenstein (2025) last night. Enjoyed it, but we really didn't need another "The doctor was the real monster" film. I want the cinematic equivalent of an AITA post.

"My dad wouldn't build me a sex slave from stolen corpse parts so I murdered his wife, AITA?"
