Big news: on a bipartisan basis the Senate just voted to reject Trump's tariffs on Canada. The House has to vote on it next, where it's less likely to pass, but the cracks are starting to form. Trump is losing support from Republicans on his costly trade war.

My first tribute on International Women’s Day goes to the indomitable & wondrous women of Ukraine 🇺🇦

In the face of war, they stand strong together, united in resilience and hope as they resist Russia's aggression.

Elon Musk is not a Federal employee or a political appointee. DOGE is not a real department. None of their activities are legal. This is a coup. The Republicans in Congress are willing participants in it. At what point do Democrats in DC get that and start acting like it? It’s not the price of eggs!

This administration must continue Medicare drug price negotiations that will save seniors billions of dollars.

It is unconscionable to hold disaster victims hostage as part of a scheme to pass massive tax breaks for billionaires and wealthy corporations.

Let me politely articulate our position to House Republicans.

Get lost.

Laken Riley’s family never wanted her death politicized. The GOP didn’t care.

They used her death as a way to pass a bill permitting racial profiling, and guilt based on the color of one’s skin.

Justice dies when due process is denied.

It would be cool if anyone criticizing Biden’s pardon of his son looked at virtually any other post-Nixon president, addressed the non-reasoning or middling reasoning the others gave in comparison to Biden, or realized that this will have literally zero effect on what Trump will do.

Actually a photo from yesterday when there was some sun. Ollie finding sun after I upended his whole day by moving furniture around. No sun on this December 1. At least not yet. And once again, there are some light flakes coming down. Listening to Christmas music so it’s actually quite fitting.
