Just watched Famous Last Words with Jane Goodall on Netflix. Filmed last March, not to be released until after her death, it was so very moving! Her message to us, to have hope and avoid apathy, really struck home! Strongly recommend!!

I think it’s fair to say there have been more overt attacks on and threats to freedom of expression in the US since January than in our entire history. And recently they are accelerating and getting more brazen.

Well, got a call from my grandson who is a freshman at NC State. “ Grandpa, looks like we’ve another rugby player in the family.” I played for 22 yrs and talked about it, but never intentionally recruited him to the sport. After one practice he played a bit in a 2nd side match. Had fun!

Bad week this week. The first of the first Sam Houston RFC rugby team’s players passed after a long fight with cancer. We played together in ‘73-76 or so. And just learned that Toni Price, the Austin Juke Joint Madonna, died on the 22nd. Damn!
