Yup. It’s absurd to think lots of foreign firms are going to sink millions into building manufacturing plants in the U.S., which will take years, just to avoid tariffs that will be gone as soon as someone sane is in the White House.
1/ I'm sure someone has already pointed this out, but one additional thing about the tariffs being done unilaterally by the president: They can be (and almost certainly will be) reversed by the next Democratic president.
