The number of US friends who’ve switched to using Signal the last few weeks reminds me of the noticeable shift to Signal among Hong Kongers I knew during the 2019 protests. Not an encouraging data point.

So clear that for both of them their core childhood emotional experience was humiliation. I am genuinely sorry their dads hurt them so much. They’re hobbled little men in no position to wield this power given their disability.

The bravery of this man is incredible. When our own institutional leaders are caving to Trump (and sniveling JD), Zelenskyy stands up for his people and for what is right.
