I love how my parents tried their best to keep me away from shooter games throughout my childhood, yet one of the first PC games I can remember playing is Moorhuhn/"Crazy Chicken".
Just makes me chuckle a bit. It is a strangely addictive game though, I won't deny that.

The thing about how "pixel art was designed for CRTs" always kind of annoys me because: Pokemon wasn't. Pokemon was released on the Game Boy, which used a liquid crystal display. Nobody ever seems to think to bring this up. Drives me mad!!!

I wasn't actively aware of this, but I discovered by messing with a variation of the rocket equation that the geometric mean of two numbers and the log function have a very neat relationship.
The geometric mean of two numbers is the point where the log function's area between them is split in half.
