Really glad I got to see this at the Toho Cinemas Hibiya where I also saw Minus One Minus Color and Vs. Biollante. Such a fun movie with the most unique imagery seen in a Godzilla film. I love how fed up with Hedorah's toxic shit Goji is by the end of the movie!

the more I get into Highlander, the more concerned I am about the remake. there are 3 love stories in the 1st: Connor & Heather, Connor & Brenda, Rachel's unrequited love for Connor. 4 counting Connor & Ramírez. a Highlander film without romance isn't Highlander, it's just dudes playing with swords
Great movie, bewildering franchise. A recent comment from Chad Stahelski implies that his remake might not be as interested in romance, and if true, I think that is a huge mistake.

Truly devastated over the loss of David Lynch. I keep talking about getting a Twin Peaks tattoo, so I guess today is the day to email my artist. There are many short films and music videos of his that I have never seen, and I will cherish those first-time watches in the near future.

I’m devastated. David Lynch was more than just a filmmaker, he was a man of unique sensibility and character whose worldview helped shape mine through his stories, narratives and interviews. A warm presence that conveyed the darkness of human nature and still found beauty within. RIP Mr. Lynch.

David Lynch gave us the language we needed to better articulate the indescribable strangeness of our shared reality. “Lynchian” is so overused because it’s a viscerally understandable word without any known synonyms. I can’t imagine a more beautiful artistic legacy than that.
