Counterintuitive: the DFL is run by people who have no idea what it's like to live in an urban area.
Turned away from the MN DFL event due to a bag policy that didn’t appear anywhere in the invitation.

The suggestion was to put my bag in my car. I took the bus

I’m curious how many people were turned away due to other bags (bike bags, groceries, diaper bags) and didn’t have storage options

Fun morning at LPM Apartments. 36 story building currently has no working elevators, no working heat, and a mysterious red liquid flooding the lower floors.

"Kyle Jones got macheted trying to run for park board" would make a great episode, now that the field is clearing.

I'd say that Kyle gives the impression that Minneapolis is full of people who care for each other, and help out.
Special Sunday podcast episode: "Kyle had a gun pulled on him while using the 311 app." Kyle is safe and unharmed, but is sharing his story exclusively with Wedge LIVE. You may remember Part I of the Kyle Saga, where a guy unloaded a big can of bear spray on him.

I got three notifications from 311 while recording this episode. They were all successful citations. The system works!

Clearly prioritizing transit & livability is important in our city. Enough that people took risks to invite their friends & neighbors to caucus with them, and that's not just a "hey, come to this thing convo". It _is_ an invitation into leading and I'm so glad for everyone who did it.

I appreciate Alec's sincerity and the way that he grounds these issues in humanity. This is a rant, but it is grounded in very human issues of agency and self-knowledge that are under-expressed in a lot of parts of society.

This is a 15 minute parking limit zone. Do any of these cars look like they’ve been here less than 15 minutes?

Loring Park needs more parking meters.

Excellent article from @amityf.bsky.social!

The more I think through this, the more I think buses should stay on Nicollet. For whatever it costs to rebuild these other streets, we can make an amazing Nicollet Mall for pedestrians *and* transit riders.
