Firing over 100 immigration judges.

Arresting immigrants outside of their immigration hearings.

Pausing asylum decisions.

And now? Cancelling citizenship ceremonies, the final step to becoming a U.S. citizen.

Just remember that Trump never cared about "legal immigration."

Good morning #bluesky. Last night sleep didn’t evade me. 😁

Anyway, here’s a collage of shots taken in the beautiful Scottish Highlands. A place that is definitely worth visiting if you love the night sky, beautiful scenery, old traditional pubs, lochs, mountains and sleeping under the stars.

SCOOP — Gregg Phillips, a conspiracy theorist with no emergency management experience who helped produce the election-denying documentary ‘2000 Mules’ with Dinesh D’Souza and has faced numerous legal inquiries, has been named head of FEMA’s Office of Response and Recovery.

My story:
Conspiracy theorist election denier given FEMA’s second-most important role
Gregg Phillips will lead the Office of Response and Recovery, “the heart of what FEMA does.”

This is key. If the Coast Guard can manage to A) shoot and DISABLE boats and B) board and seize without incident multiple times per year then the goddamn US Navy can; if that was their orders. That they didn't even bother tells you exactly what those orders were and who gave them.
"This campaign has included no attempt to intercept and board the targeted vessels, and has provided no warnings or opportunity to comply, as would be done in the case of lawful drug interdiction operations."

NEW: Another purge of immigration judges just happened, this time in New York City. This latest purge includes one of the smartest people I know, an immigration judge who dutifully served on the bench for 10 years. She was unceremoniously fired in violation of civil service laws.

Beginning Monday, a Frozen Peppermint Hot Chocolate drink will be available exclusively at Starbucks cafés inside Target stores.

The chains are hoping the drink can drum up excitement from customers this holiday season.

These cases are nightmares. Many people had removal proceedings “administratively closed” for years; the case is off the docket and the person can stay indefinitely.

Now, suddenly, ICE is restarting them. And if they miss a physical letter, they might get ordered deported without their knowledge.
Hundreds of immigration cases in San Francisco have been closed for years, even decades, often b/c they are not an enforcement priority.

Many involve victims of crime & abuse.

This summer, Trump attorneys tried to bring them back.
