American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

Has anyone told The @democrats.org
They might want to do it for them
November 10, 2025 at 3:08 PM
What fucking win?!
Have we fallen so far that we as Dems no longer know what a God Damn win looks like?
On Morning Joe, Joe & co. are telling us to calm down and "take the win" by losing. They've booked three of the turncoat senators. How about booking any of the many who are mad as hell?

SENATE DEMOCRATS: fine, we give in

The Turncoat 8 aren't the only culpable parties here. Chuck and all those who hid behind them are part of a conspiracy to cave. Every senator needs to stand up and loudly condemn this deal; if you don't. you should be primaried. Stand up and be counted.

People on SNAP are starving and people on ACA who cannot afford insurance will suffer and die but what keeps coming up on Morning Joe? Air travel. First-world problems always trump -- pun intended -- poor people's problems.
November 10, 2025 at 2:19 PM
I'm irritated by the argument that Republicans will get the blame for this if/when they hold their word to vote on the ACA and vote no on this and then lose in 2026/2028.
We lose the ACA & then we're supposed to believe that we'll 1-have elections in 26/28 or 2-those elections will be free & fair.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Loved this conversation between my friend @whatamimaking.bsky.social and the brilliant Josh Ritter.

It’s all about art, joy, and the courage it takes to live openly as a creator.

Such a moving listen-full of heart, humor, and humanity. I was bummed to miss Josh last night here in DM.

Primary them.
Every. Single. One.
And Schumer.
Get your house (Senate) in fucking order.
November 10, 2025 at 3:07 AM
Can be both, and...
Doesn't have to be either/or.
Listening to these 8 Dem Senators explain their vote convinces me that they are either idiots or liars. Either is plausible.
