Children are dying while medication that could help is just sitting in warehouses waiting to expire.

Is this supposed to be “efficiency”?
@nickkristof.bsky.social visited a warehouse in Sierra Leone with millions of doses of donated medications that could help prevent #NTDs. But without funding, they can't be distributed. 💊

"Even though it's free, even though it's already donated. It's going to sit in a warehouse here and expire."

The first rule of fascism is the State Is Never Wrong. It’s that simple. If any of the people we’ve abducted and trafficked out of the country come back, they are living proof of a fallible state, and therefore a threat to their power.
I don’t think that’s impossible but this is overselling it. He is a victim of an unlawful crime and total breach of the constitutional order by Trump.

If he comes back, that means interviews, testimony over who he is, what happened to him, and what he saw.

That is already too much for republicans.
I'm just gonna put it out there: I think they are gonna drag their feet here because Garcia is either not alive or not intact in a way that would set off international sanction.

That's my guess. I think that's why they might have decided *this* person is the critical focus for a showdown.

BUKELE: How can I smuggle a terrorist into the United States? Of course I'm not going to do it. The question is preposterous

Instead of using “emergency“ decrees to move us toward authoritarianism, Trump should declare our broken health care system an emergency and move us toward guaranteed health care for all.

When 85 million Americans are uninsured or under-insured, that’s the true emergency.
