This is exactly the same argument — and, in parts, even the same language — that segregationists advanced to argue that white people had a “right” not to live next to people who were different from them.

Donald Trump is telling his DOJ to prosecute people involved in defeating him in 2020. He will claim the 2025 California referendum was fraudulent. He is going to try to impose voter ID and ban mail-in and early voting for 2026.

In another filing tonight in the case before Judge Sara Ellis in Chicago, plaintiffs' attorneys say depositions are set to begin Wednesday (Greg Bovino is among those to be deposed).

But the feds are seeking an order that would make those depos "inaccessible to the public," they say.

These findings in the new Washington Post poll jump off the page: Trump is underwater by 19 points on his handling of the economy (40/59) and underwater by 30 points on his handling of tariffs.

By contrast, the same poll found him at +14 net approval on the economy in Oct. 2020.
