ExxonMobil and the Scottish Government ignored our calls for over a decade.

Now it's time for governments to step up and protect these workers and communities.

We were proud to march with the rest of the world yesterday, calling for serious action on climate change. For action on fuel poverty, for storm damaged homes, for refugees fleeing drought, for sustainable travel, for affordable food, for good green jobs and for a healthy, nature rich environment.

What needs to improve on transport in South Lanarkshire for the next 10 years? Being able to access what you need and get about safely, affordably, healthily, sustainably and conveniently is vital. Please have your say.
Residents are being encouraged to have their say on the latest version of the council’s Local Transport Strategy.

Another step backwards on the climate from the Scottish Government today.

The First Minister has confirmed to @ariane-burgess.bsky.social that the 2030 target for peatland restoration has been dropped and replaced with a weak 2040 target.

What is going on?
The SNP's wrecking amendment to this motion has sadly passed, confirming that the Scottish Government no longer opposes the Rosebank oil field application. A huge step backwards and a sad day for Scotland's reputation on climate action.
Under Nicola Sturgeon & Humza Yousaf the Scottish Government rightly opposed the proposed Rosebank oil field.

John Swinney has sadly dropped that opposition and tried to avoid taking a position at all.

That's not good enough, so tomorrow the @scottishgreens.org will force a vote.

It's time for MSPs from all parties to make it clear where they stand on Rosebank.

This massively polluting project is incompatible with any credible response to the climate emergency. It must be stopped.
Today the Scottish Parliament will vote on our motion opposing Rosebank.

The oil field would release a massive 250 million tonnes of new carbon emissions into our atmosphere, 50 times as much as previously admitted!

We must put people and planet first, not corporate profits.

Beautiful ceremony as always at Calderglen High School for Armistice Day. Words from World War poets, and Chaplain Bill from Claremont Parish reminded us all to remember the horrors of war and to always work for peace.

Why should workers be paid different rates to do the same job?

If this is true - this should have happened a long time ago.

The Green Party alongside campaigners have been calling for this - and it's good to see maybe they've finally listened.
