I am currently dealing with pretty intense trauma to my face from a fall from standing. I can really understand how falls are the #1 cause of accidental death. More people die from falls annually than car accidents.

I learned the hard way that jagged cuts and tears in the skin are easier to stitch than a cut from a knife. My plastic surgeon said my face was easier to sew up than the knife fight guy she saw the night before.

I've had what felt like bad tension headaches my entire life. Gone to doctors a lot over the last 20 years. Finally got one to refer me to PT. Diagnosed in one visit.

Some people are so used to being in an echo chamber online that even good faith attempts at a nuanced conversation of complicated issues get silenced. Barely anything is simple. Most issues are huge, complex, and interconnected to other problems.

If you have a GOP senator, call them about this bill. If you are in Washington state like me it wouldn't hurt to bug Maria Cantwell, she has been too complicit with Trump.
Later today the Senate will vote on my bipartisan legislation to end Trump’s tariffs. This has a real chance of passing. I encourage everyone to make your voices heard with your Senators if you feel strongly about this issue. I’ll be working to get it across the finish line. More soon.

I want to apologize to my high school AP Lit teacher. I scoffed at Jane Eyre and the concept of self-aculization not even realizing it's something I have that helps me in my life so much. While external validation can be nice, I don't need it. I know who I am. It doesn't matter what others think.

No, our whole problem is the working class isn't standing together. We can't wait for politicians to save us. We can't go back to business as usual that left people behind. The 99% needs to come together.
Our whole problem right now is that the very small number of people in a unique position to take real action aren't doing so.
