The number of people who told me last year that ‘it can’t get any worse for Gaza.’

But it always could get worse, things can always get worse- and they have.

We are now witnessing an official, full-blown, US-approved famine in Gaza.

Shameful.

Prescription drugs are madness. Went to CVS to p/u dog’s generic prozac, total was $226. I was like no way, the pharmacist said it could have something to do with the manufacturer on that particular one. I transfer it to another CVS just to see what happens. The cost there: $33!!!!

Just got word that Secretary Noem is asking for an addition to her budget - a new private Gulfstream 5 jet for her personal national photo op tour. She's already got a private plane but wants a tricked out new one.

All while she supports kicking 13 million people off Medicaid.

Really seems like buildings and things went from costing 200 million (a lot) to 2 billion (a lot a lot). Seems like we skipped a whole phase of things costing just short of a billion.

Our small store’s revenue was down 40% in April 2025 compared to 2024, while transactions were only down 6%, which tells me there is still demand but people aren’t spending. The number of small businesses that are going to close because of Trump’s economy is going to be devastating. Totally grim.

Biking into work again after a winter of riding the bus has me back on my "electric bikes are the best invention in modern history" sermon. Virtually every excuse for not biking to work for commuters under a few miles has been rendered meaningless by electric bikes!! Get one!

DHS denied Mahmoud Khalil permission to attend the birth of his first child, who was delivered at a New York hospital on Monday.

Instead, Mr. Khalil experienced the birth by telephone from Jena, La., more than 1,000 miles from the hospital where his wife, Dr. Noor Abdalla, gave birth to a son.
