"k pellét" – it rhymes.
Took this photo of a trail map on yesterday's trail run after exactly 6.66 miles. (fwiw, I went right at this junction)

This movie was very fun. The way Matt figures out he's actually in 2008 is one of the funniest jokes I've seen in years.

"I have searched the depths of Legal Arguments not yet articulated or vetted on this subject, and will be presenting an irrefutable one in the very near future." is exactly what people who forego legal representation say right before they lose a lawsuit against their neighbors.
Trump: “The Democrats refuse to vote for Voter I.D., or Citizenship. The reason is very simple — They want to continue to cheat in Elections. This was not what our Founders desired … There will be Voter I.D. for the Midterm Elections, whether approved by Congress or not!“

Religious exemptions for vaccines are mostly nonsense. Most religious groups do not have an anti-vaxx history and their religious texts pre-date vaccination by hundreds or thousands of years. My fellow Christians are usually anti-vaxx for political or fear-based reasons, no matter how they frame it.
My most authoritarian opinion is that the MMR vaccine should be mandatory, with only medical (not religious or floofy) exemptions allowed. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

First thought at seeing Lee Zeldin here: "Y’know, the thing about a shark, he’s got lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll’s eyes."
Second thought: Man, that guy has gotten some real work done. Neck of a 65 year-old gives it away… wait, he's 45? He's only 4 years older than me?
FOX NEWS: Do you believe climate change is a hoax?

EPA ADMINISTRATOR LEE ZELDIN: It has been a con job of using this for more power and control

As Orson Welles intended: a terrible transfer on a seatback screen on a flight with several interruptions.

Ordered food at an airport restaurant and am currently watching dudes repeatedly fail the "read the sign to know when they stop serving breakfast" challenge.
Don't get mad at the employees that you're a half hour late and don't read!

The Olympics are the first time in a while that I've seen so many ads and they've really broken new ground in gobbledygook pharmaceutical names.

Orlynvah

Only one of those isn't the actual trade name of a drug.

Another early flight out of SNA where we're fully boarded 20 minutes before the listed departure time but that time is still 15 minutes before the allowable first take off time so we're idling in line.
Another early flight out of SNA where the regular security line was empty while pre-check and clear were both backed up.

My "don't be a panican" email has people asking a lot of questions already answered by my email.
The White House just sent a "Don't Panic" email. That'll do it

Trump insisting that China's first action in dealing with Canada will be to totally erase even the idea of hockey is so funny even as it's also further evidence that his addled, Swiss cheese brain is probably being cooked on AI.
What the fuck is this man even talking about?!

Fascinated by the Georgian pair who are using a medley of Offspring and Destiny's Child, a thing that may have gotten someone killed in the 90s.
a selection of songs that will be used in the today's ice dance competition at the Winter Olympics, where competitors are required to use "music of the 1990s" for their rhythm dance programs

I do not wish ill on anyone, but if this guy had a Jordan Peterson situation from his diet it would be fitting.
RFK Jr on what he'll eat during the Super Bowl: "I am on a carnivore diet so I just eat meat and ferments, and I'm very happy with that. So I'm probably going to have yogurt."

Anyone else watch the Olympic opening ceremony and unexpectedly spot a guy you knew from your fraternity walking in with athletes and learn that he's the Secretary General of the Philippine Ski & Snowboard Federation now or was that just me?

The top comments on the r/conservative post about this are all "not gonna get more voters in our side. be better." Honestly funny that there are still pro-Trump guys who don't think racism and trolling are at the core of Trumpism.

Broke the seal on the Swedish version of Taskmaster yesterday and, even though I mostly had to rely on the subtitles, the format of the show still works. The first recorded task ends with a suitably wild choice & David Sundin reacts to it in a very Alex Horne-like way

Mixing RPGs in with the flowers on a Hawaiian shirt is not very aloha.
From a Reddit post about ICE in LA.

Wearing a Hawaiian shirt under their police vest is a very intentional choice. This seems like a Boogaloo boy who is also a thug agent of the state.

LA friends - be careful out there and make sure folks are aware of what is happening.
