The Tower of London housed exotic animals in the Lion Tower, which James I remodeled to better watch lion-baiting. He pitted mastiffs against lions, one of which always bore the king's name. If that lion died in battle, it was seen as a bad omen for the king. #histfic #writingcommunity #queerwriters

Writing is fine. It's literally the most embarrassing thing on earth to emotionally put yourself on full display for rejection or validation, but it's good. I enjoy it. I find it therapeutic to horrify myself.

So I'm still seeing things in the periphery about misogyny in fantasy and one thing I can definitively say is that if you make a list of authors who are not doing misogyny in fantasy and everybody on your list is a man, I definitely discard everything you just said.
