We aren’t just building a campaign to defeat Susan Collins. We are building a working class movement – one that is going to stand up to Donald Trump, Susan Collins, the oligarchs, corporate special interests, and anyone else who stands in our way.

Senate Democrats need to hold the line. No healthcare, no deal.

Mainers want a Democratic Party that fights for them, not one that rolls over.

When we fight, we win.

Congressional Democrats are livid after a handful of their Senate colleagues voted Sunday to end the government shutdown. Chris Murphy called it a mistake. Bernie Sanders called it “a very bad night.” And Ro Khanna and Seth Moulton accused Chuck Schumer of being ineffective & called for his removal.

What was the damn point of the shutdown? People missed paychecks, families went without SNAP, and Democrats walked away with nothing.

This isn’t about moderates versus the far left. It’s about who’s actually fighting for people who are struggling.

She nails where so many of us are right now.

We showed up. We voted. We marched. No one is fighting for us. I feel like we are on our own. Our Dem leadership must change and represent what the majority of their party wants. Schumer and Durbin must go.

Chuck Schumer and ANYONE who supports him need to be ousted from the party. The same way they wrongly treated David Hogg should be the way that Schumer is treated now.

Voters want a Democratic Party that fights back against the forces that have rigged the system and made their lives more difficult.

A party that comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable —not a party that buckles and capitulates.

When will party leadership learn this lesson?

Caving on a deal that doesn’t fix health care is, and always has been, a giant betrayal of the American people.

Hold the line. Save health care. I’m a NO on anything that doesn’t extend ACA subsidies.

Call a Senator that voted no tonight and demand that they vote to remove Chuck Schumer as Senate Minority Leader.

He has weaponized his incompetence against the American people by allowing 8 Dem Senators to cave to an authoritarian regime. We need real leadership, not the oligarchy’s lapdog
Schumer can be removed from his Dem leadership role this week - 23 Dems (and/or independents) just have to vote to depose him

And they should, given this is his fault.
This is a lovely sentiment but Schumer isn't up for re-election until 2028 and he knows this. At which point he will be 77/78. There's no mechanism to recall a sitting senator AFAIK.

Brand new data:

Republicans blamed for the shutdown (+12) and for health care premiums going up (+28!!).

These are stunning numbers. Republicans aren't immune from the pressure this creates.

Time to press our advantage. Stand for what we believe in.

I stand in strong solidarity with workers at Caesars Horseshoe casino in Indianapolis who are on strike against corporate greed.

If Caesars can afford to pay its CEO $18 million and spend $50 million on stock buybacks, it can afford to treat all of its workers with respect.

This is good, but when people talk about this I want to emphasize: we have not run out of money for SNAP. The money is there, it has been allotted and saved specifically for this instance. Trump refuses to release the billions of dollars that Americans have already allotted to continue food stamps!
In the 60-year history of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, it’s never run out of money. Here are the states suing the federal government over it.
