A fun thing about Spanish-language media's wall-to-wall gameday coverage is the space it opens up for little details like this - TUDN cameras catching Mexico coach Javier Aguirre and his staff chopping it up postgame in Nashville with Korea and PSG's Lee Kang-in, who played for El Vasco at Mallorca

Two more DPs, $3m more in cap space, decouple transfer fees from cap hits, no cap hit for homegrown players.

Small markets can afford that.

Mauricio Pochettino will name USMNT roster for pre-Gold Cup training camp and friendlies Thursday morning, per USSF.

For all intents and purposes, it's the Gold Cup squad, which is allowed up to 26 players. For this camp, though, the roster will probably include 26 to 28 players.

Since 2008 3 out of 23 MLS teams have won a Concacaf series with the 2nd leg in Mexico in which they didn’t outright win the 1st leg at home. THE Vancouver Whitecaps are 2 of those 3 THIS YEAR!

In 1989, long before USL announced its plans, US Soccer had its own visions of promotion & relegation.

I got my hands on the long-lost “Fricker Plan” and dug into it. Three divisions. 175 teams. Pro/rel across the whole system.

I made the point 5-6 years ago that we don't have any bus drivers in this squad. Everybody's a role player.

And it's not a coincidence Dempsey's best USMNT stretches came when he was in MLS, or that Donovan spent 95% of his career here & was usually able to take the reins in big games for the US.

Pochettino will name his 23-man USMNT Nations League squad Tuesday at 11 am ET.
Nations League 23-man rosters must be submitted by Monday (March 10), but don’t expect public announcements right away. Probably another day or two before Concacaf and federations post them.

To clear up confusion, the trial will be about US Soccer's application of the Pro League Standards to NASL, rather than about the legitimacy of the PLS itself. The judge granted summary judgment to US Soccer/MLS on NASL's Count 1 in June, which had alleged that the PLS was itself anti-competitive.
