More meddling in things that they see as a disadvantage to themselves rather than actually trying to solve the problems the people of this province face. These recalls can’t happen fast enough.
There is a LOT in this legislation, to the point that big changes for Alberta's legal regulator are all the way at the bottom, including:
-Law Society of Alberta can't mandate training/education beyond a specific scope
-Conduct decision appeals go to Court of King's Bench

Bill 9 is a trans rights issue.

Don't be fooled, because it's also a parental rights and bodily autonomy issue.

The UCP has no place in the living rooms and physicians offices of this province.

Can we talk about THIS page for a minute?!?

AHS, while under the direct command & control of Smith and the UCP ACTIVELY destroyed evidence provided to them?

And records were withheld despite Smith’s promises?

The AG comes just shy of calling a coverup!

Between 1982 and October 2025, the Alberta government never used the notwithstanding clause. Now, they have invoked it twice in the last three weeks (and more to come).

Today, Alberta introduced Bill 9 and invoked the notwithstanding clause to shield three anti-trans laws from constitutional challenge. These laws deny gender-affirming care to youth, erase 2SLGBTQI identities from schools, and ban trans girls and women from sports.

The Province of Alberta’s decision today to invoke the notwithstanding clause is deeply troubling to me. I believe that governments should not dictate decisions that should be left to families and health care professionals.

I support the charter rights of all Albertans.

This is what's at stake.

The UCP is not only dodging its responsibility to explain how Bill 9 is in any way proportionate or justifiable in a free and democratic society.

They are putting children at far greater risk of suicide.
