A couple of years ago, we did a core conversion at work, which involved porting a large amount of data to a new system.
It took us many months to be assured it was what we needed / expected, and this is stuff we'd been working with for years.
Basically- there's no way DOGE knows what they're doing

It's weirdly difficult to remember that Trump's popular vote margin was /less/ than Hillary's in 2016. Biden got more votes in 2020 than Trump got in 2024 and Trump surrogates all under-performed in congressional races.
This is not a mandate, I don't get why it is being portrayed that way.

I just realized Musk cutting government agencies is like what I did when I was 13 and wanted to install a game on my Windows 3.1 PC. I just deleted any file that took up too much space. It worked for a while, but eventually, the PC crashed. Turns out command.com and autoexec.bat were important!
