Not gonna lie, I'm a millennial who would have voted on Halloween if I knew I'd get a special sticker.
A multi-day freakout about Mamdani's chances apparently happened because Millennials were waiting to vote until they could get the special Halloween-themed "I voted" stickers

Who knew the key to winning the US Open was getting a terrible haircut the night before your first match? (and exceptional play of course) #Baldcaraz

I took a date to see Attack of the Clones in high school. The movie was terrible, and the date went so badly that we're both gay now.
Here’s a fun distraction what’s the worst movie you’ve watched on a date? Mine is a tie between “Hidden Colors” and “La La Land.”

I saw Buena Vista Social Club on Broadway a few weeks ago, and I'm still singing songs from it.

Composting in NYC is about to get serious as the DNSY begins to issue hefty fines for improper disposal starting April 1.

Here's how to do it correctly and where all those food scraps go after they leave your bin.
Here’s How To Compost in New York City
The Department of Sanitation is getting serious about making sure New Yorkers sort their food scraps from their trash. Here’s what to do — and what happens to the material.

Adams must be removed. The city cannot sustain being governed for nearly a year by a Mayor who is being coerced by Trump admin in order to escape charges.

This corruption poses a real threat to the people of the city. He should have resigned a while ago, but will not. So it’s time for him to go.

Our governor has the uncanny ability to make the worst decision no matter how many possibilities are placed in front of her.

I always say Antiques Roadshow is some of the best TV ever. Just outrageous levels of white people nonsense are on display here.

Every time i peek back over to the other site, I'm reminded just how pervasive the most unhinged right-wing nonsense is over there. It's everywhere.

Veilguard actively works against my impulse to micromanage everything, even more so than Mass Effect. It irks my spirit. Still thoroughly enjoying the game overall though.
My least favorite part of #DAV is having character-specific loot. I like to choose what my party uses for gear, I don’t like it on rails that way.

Looks like the haters are now waiters at the table of Bluesky’s success
New: Mayor Adams’ office has ordered all city agencies to set up accounts on BlueSky.

An agency staffer tells me the move comes after city employees have complained about not wanting to continue using X amid growing "fascist" sentiment on the platform. www.nydailynews.com/2024/11/14/m...

It's clear that Dems have a brand problem. It's easier for many voters to believe what the right says about them than what they are actually saying, and to interpret that all the harm the right promises won't affect you.
Trump Supporters Exult in the NYC Neighborhoods Where He Gained the Most
While nearly 600,000 fewer voters backed the Democrat than last time, some of the nearly 100,000 more voters who backed the Republican had a lot to say about their reasons and hopes.

I really hate how climate change has lengthened/shifted the summers in NYC. It's mid-September. It shouldn't be >80 degrees here. The delay to cardigan season is unconscionable.
