Just last week teams were calling the Philadelphia Eagles about AJ Brown & Howie Roseman said no, just like Elias will likely do. I get that teams think Adley is available due to the Basallo extension, but I don’t see Elias selling low. It would take an overwhelming offer to move him right now, IMO.
Jim Bowden in his column this morning says GMs are citing the Orioles as one of the most aggressive teams in the closer market and likely to spend.
He also says teams have been calling the Orioles about Adley Rutschman.

I don’t think he (or any GM) would ever list their ENTIRE offseason list of needs..like HEYYYYY I need EVERYTHING (even though in our case it’s obvious) so go ahead & drive your prices up!!! I’m no negotiations expert but I feel like he can’t show ALL of his cards (needs?), know what I mean?
I also don’t think a 3 bullet-point “wish list” should be read as an exhaustive laundry list. It’s a list of their highest priority adds.

They can’t rely on Felix AT ALL for 2026. No more Grayson Rodriguez-ing guys and then being like OH NO THEY GOT HURT HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?!??!

Agree on the entire wish list to start. They need a closer AND a late inning reliever, btw. This beggar WILL be a chooser this offseason, IDGAF. Get it done Mike, no excuses
Mike Elias’ offseason wish list for Orioles:
-Frontline starting pitcher
-Back-end reliever, preferably one with closing experience
-Veteran hitter, possibly one to fit into the outfield picture
As for SP, “Plan A” is to get one from top tier to slot in with Bradish and Rogers.

Definitely deflating to read. I kinda don’t blame them as our FO hasn’t given reason to believe they’ll change their ways, even though O’s fans (including myself) are convinced that Elias has no choice but to change his ways & that he HAS to take a risk & sign a big name pitcher to a longterm deal.
Kinda deflating reply from Tim Dierkes, who doesn't see the Orioles landing any of the big FA SPs or acquiring a legit ace via trade.
Some combo of two of the below could be solid, but just grabbing one and calling it a rotation would be pretty disappointing, with the possible exception of Gray.
