I just see this being more realistic. I don’t see us spending money on both a big time pitcher & a big bat. I’d be happy to be wrong but if we signed a Cease/Ranger Suarez/Valdez, R. Suarez or Helsley to close, Seranthony my beloved to set up, and ended up with Bader as a veteran bat, I’d be happy.

He did get a lot of prospects back at the deadline and got the Slater pick in the trade for Baker in preparation to give these picks up (that’s what I’m gaslighting myself with anyway).
