My #starbucks at the office may be the worst one. My digital order is either never ready, not on the counter, or not cooked. I once got a container of dry oatmeal. This is today.

The hostage release is a reminder of how bad the Dems are at politics. Not only did Biden refuse to force this deal on Netanyahu & thereby help Harris win, but most people aren’t even aware that Biden got way more Israeli hostages (over 100) released with his 2023 ceasefire than Trump did with his.

This is the way. Phenomenal.
This video of Chicagoans intervening to save a man from being abducted off the streets by ICE is making the rounds on Instagram.

Community action works.

The government does not have the power to declare “free speech zones.” And the violent arrest of the rabbi should set off some alarm bells.
Heard an officer say "let's do it" and then, in the dark, they tackle Rabbi Ben to the ground. He's being loaded into a CCSO wagon now. Broadview police also here screaming at people.

Fascism occurs twice: first as the tragedy of a Second World War started by men who fought the First and knowingly chose slaughter, then as the farce of an ignorant draft dodger trying to provoke a war against his own people.
Trump: "The problem with Vietnam, we, you know, we stopped fighting to win. We would've won easy. We would've won Afghanistan easy. We would've won every war easy. But we got politically correct. 'Oh, let's take it easy.' We're not politically correct anymore, just so you understand."

I called my dad last night to talk to him about the tsunami warning that was on Hawaii. His degree was in meteorology before he became a pilot.

@tacobell.bsky.social, I want to know how bad things are at your 8th/51st Street in Manhattan, that an enraged customer can scream about the service, toss a drink at your workers, and then toss a trash can that hits a customer (me), and the cops aren’t even called?!!!

I think it’s breaking a deep social covenant to go to an office when you are sick, particularly when you get sick days. I don’t care if you lose PTO, putting immunocompromised people at risk is evil.

Lowest approval rating for a president since 1953
Trump generously makes up an approval rating for himself, defying reality
Why is the president brazenly lying about his public support? It’s not just about ego, it’s about the success of his political agenda.

I think we need to be mad
This thing where angry reactions to atrocities that ought to make everyone angry are framed as if we’re getting distracted and playing into fascists’ hands, and I’m not sure history’s lesson of fascism is “don’t get outraged by outrages against humanity.” Either way I’m angry; sorry if that’s bad.

Much like the legal settlements of nonsense cases, this is yet another example of right wing virtue signaling and not because this is a place to do effective marketing.

God, what an idiot
This is the guy who started the Silk Road dark website which was used the facilitate major global drug trafficking. Was serving life in prison. But when Trump wanted the Libertarian Party endorsement he promised them this. He never heard of Ulbricht. Even spelled his name wrong.

In a nutshell...

"Biden pardoned January 6 police officers,
Trump pardoned January 6 criminals."

After Biden pardoned Jan. 6 police officers, Trump pardoned Jan. 6 criminals
The new president agreed to let violent criminals back onto American streets, and then peddled discredited conspiracy theories and lies about the attack.

Yesterday was exhausting. He tried to do much of what he said he would do, in spite of whether it was constitutionally legal. Also, pardoning insurrectionists was beyond the pale. Somehow, the press corp gives him grace they didn’t give Biden.

I wanna say that most women who have dysmenorrhea (heavy menstrual cramps) are in about as much consistent pain as anyone, and you don’t see women unaliving anyone because they still don’t adequately research and treat this. Men get schedule II drugs for a toothache, but women have to suffer.

It just happened! A guy wanted me and the woman on the aisle to move because they didn’t seat his family together. I just told them I have a dog and I’m not able to move. I always book a window with the dog. To his credit, he immediately backed off.

at this point, it doesn’t even matter if it’s true whether women are filing for divorce or completely cutting off their families because they voted for Trump. The stories are delicious to watch, because consequence should happen. This was about so much more than politics, it was about our autonomy.

Not on my "vacation" dance card: arguing with my dad that food allergies are not the same as the toxic foods to my dog that sent us to the ER Vet last night. And that my explaining that to him felt condescending to him. Apparently, anything contrary is condescending to him. Fun.
