Family, basketball, recruitment & a poor sense of humour. Proud champagne socialist.
Economy is in this weird place. I want to say it's on its arse but it's just slow and sluggish.

It's been a tough 7 months (and counting) but the extra free time to spend with my little ones has been a true blessing.

Feels like the 80s sometimes lol

Watch this montage of clips from Israel's Channel 14, filled with racist and genocidal bile, shocking stuff, ask yourself why you don't see these clips on US or UK mainstream news, and then read Prem's deep dive for Zeteo into Channel 14:

However, repentance is not accepted from those who knowingly persist in sin until they start dying, and then cry, “Now I repent!”... Quran Verse 18 Surah 4

A good father provides for his family. Can't be self conscious and selfish. Can't always aim for the stars.

Had really tough day today, then I feel guilty cos of what the Palestinians are going through. Just a general downer today. The sun rises tomorrow and In Sha Allah a better day is on the horizon.

What a fantastic journey, reminds me a little of my early career in recruitment when I was coming up - obviously a lot less money my side 🤣. Thanks for sharing @garyseconomics.bsky.social

Sometimes, the Moon passes directly in front of the beautiful Pleiades star cluster in a celestial event called an occultation! This composite image from Spain captures the Moon's visit. These monthly occultations last until 2029, then not again until 2042!

🤣 so true
Feels almost cruel to point out that all the bollocks about our 10% tariffs being a 'Brexit benefit' lasted for about four days. But here we are...

First time in a long time I have enjoyed doing new business and admin around it, I put that down to the tools I'm using (not being paid to big them up lol). Contactout and GiigHire. Happy recruiter today 😀

happy first birthday to Bluesky, and what a year it's been!

with every day, the need for an open network that puts people first becomes increasingly clear. we're glad to be building this with you. after all, the heart of a social network is the people.

Long day yesterday refereeing jnr basketball - 8km covered, 15k steps and today I feel fine. What a difference weight loss has. The scrunched up face is in response to the Sun burning my retinas.

Currently adding finishing touches to a report on the state of recruitment in 2024 and my thoughts on it.

Interestingly it is not all self-aggrandizing but uses some interesting stats and paints a lean but hopeful picture for 2025.

The only difference between Trump and Musk when it comes to how they view the MAGA base is that Trump is smart enough to insult his base in private while Musk just publicly agreed on his own site that the MAGA base are the R word.
