The “what should poor people be allowed to eat” debate is infuriating.

The answer is simple.

They should be allowed to eat anything.

It’s no one’s business.

Ideally we would agree that food is a basic human right & it would be plentiful for all.

Until then, stop judging. Fed is best.

Of course they should be. Sick people, immunocompromised people, and medical professionals are in healthcare. The latter forgot about “do no harm” apparently.

2025… when you have to rely on buzzfeed for accurate health information.

At least someone is calling Covid what it actually is: “The largest mass disabling event in human history”

Consider this your reminder to wear a mask (ideally an N95 or better), clean the air and get your vaccines!

Patients should not have to choose between care and Covid. We know how to prevent spread (respirators & clean air).

Hospital acquired Covid has a 10% mortality rate, not to mention puts patients at risk for disability.

Yet 81% of inpatients with Covid is Welsh hospitals caught it AFTER admission!

When Amazon launched in 1995, there were 5,500 indie bookshops in the U.S., with 7,000 locations. By May of 2023, that number had decreased to 2,185 indies & 2,599 locations.

When you purchase audiobooks via Libro.fm vs. Audible, you directly support indie bookshops. Let's make that number grow ❤️

Now would be an excellent time to start wearing a respirator.

Do it as a show of solidarity with those who’ve spent five years being told they’re expendable

Do it for yourself. You don’t want to become disabled in the MAHA era

Today I’m thinking of Miep Gies, an ordinary person who risked her own life to protect the Frank family during WWII.

Her quote reminds me that we all have the power to help others. To stand up against evil. To do the right thing even when it’s hard.

We can all turn on a light.

Staff are not masking & they’ve put her on a gurney with only a curtain to protect her

This is shameful. COVID could easily end her life & airborne precautions would protect her
