#MTG is reminding me that I can't help but respect and admire authenticity in a person even when they're a total train wreck full of terrible ideas.

When all the fuss about "freedom of religion" only ever meant that the government wants to force your child to carry her rapist's baby to term.
Oh wow @reuters.com got the photo here:

If you "disagree" with science, you're just a dipshit. Nobody is going to be enlightened by your hot takes. All you're doing is turning your dipshit opinions into a total waste of everybody else's time. The only rational and persuasive counterpoint to science is more science.
JD Vance: "Science as practiced in its best form is that if you disagree with it, then you ought to criticize it and you ought to argue against it."

From the article - Bloomberg projects continued growth for BEVs, PHEV, and Hybrids at the expense of internal combustion vehicles out through 2030. 💡☀️💨💧🔋

Despite "vibe" reporting to the contrary, EV sales are growing at +8%. The *global* share of internal combustion vehicles continues to decline, replaced by hybrids, plug-in hybrids & BEVs. Car makers betting otherwise are selling buggy whips. 🧪🔌💡☀️💨💧🔋 electrek.co/2025/11/12/e...
EV sales *still* have not fallen, cooled, slowed or slumped. Media is lying to you.
After two years of headlines begging for failure, EV sales keep defying false media narratives that they are dropping, and continue to rise.

This is even better: household electricity bills are lowest in the net zero scenario, basically everywhere.

Of course they are: buying fossil fuels and burning them is obscenely expensive and unreliable and requires constant, expensive support

Paging every government official in every political party in Canada.
The US is over-building LNG export capacity by a really, really, really wild degree - the IEA assumes demand will be in place, but on the grounds that the gas is cheap

BUT if the gas is cheap, the companies selling it won't make enough money to make a profit..........

NEW | The world has achieved nearly a tenfold increase in solar power in the ten years since the #ParisAgreement ☀️

Solar rose from providing 1% of global electricity in 2015 to 8.8% in the first half of 2025.

Emerging economies now lead this growth 📈

Pro tip for "newspapers": no impoverished teenager "ends up having sex for money with powerful men" unless she is deliberately groomed into doing so by the powerful. It's not like a kid can just take a wrong turn on your way to the water park or the pop shop and get sex trafficked by a congressman.
A teenager in Florida with a homeless parent wanted money for braces and ended up having sex for money with powerful men, setting off a chain of events that would have a dramatic impact on her life and help upend the political career of Representative Matt Gaetz. nyti.ms/49PSkL9

My auntie had a heart attack on an interprovincial road trip and wasn't cleared to finish the journey until after a quadruple bypass surgery. Slowed her down by a couple of weeks and cost her zero dollars.

We wait for some things because triage requires it. The less it matters, the longer we wait.
Last time I was in the hospital to get my galbladder yeeted, it cost me $14 and it was because the parking isn't free. US politicians will fight like the lives depends on it to prevent universal healthcare from being a thing. They always go: "Look how terrible it is!! LOOK AT THE WAITING TIME!!!"

Solar’s price drop is astonishing: panels are now 98% cheaper than when I first analyzed them in 2004.

Today, building a fence with solar can be cheaper than using wood.

Casual reminder that the myth of “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” is a cruel hoax designed to convince poor people from all walks of life that the injustices they face are a result of their own actions, rather than an oppressive system rigged against them.

It is - and I cannot stress this enough - normal and good for documentarians to decide for themselves what the story is and edit the source material accordingly

Otherwise there's literally no such thing as documentaries.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

When your government is overtaken by Nazis your only option is to use whatever leverage you have to frustrate and interfere with the agenda of the Nazis in every possible way. You can't Neville Chamberlain your way to an ever-so-slightly less worse result by holding the door for them & being polite.
We have as much leverage as we’ve ever had — and Chuck Schumer is on the brink of taking a deal that gives Democrats NOTHING.

I’m glad Hakeem Jeffries will fight this in the House, but it should not get that far. Senate Dems must not cave.

Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.
