NZ. In search of that 2010 twitter vibe where someone was always around to tell you why traffic was bad on the southern and the skytower was that colour.

Generally I tend to assume judges have the experience and knowledge to make the best decisions

But this judge needs a clue

A child molester is NOT fit for the Police force and his desire to be a cop should not have excused him from punishment

Musk is enabling election interference against political parties he dislikes. He will keep doing it until governments stop him.
“A Financial Times analysis of more than 350,000 posts on X related to the election, gathered since the snap poll was announced in March, revealed a network of co-ordinated accounts pushing content to boost Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre and tarnish his counterpart, the Liberal’s Mark Carney.”

I'm not in favour of that, makes us no better than the right. What we need to do, more importantly what the media needs to do is starve them of oxygen as credible commentators & be 1000x more critical of their agenda & words.

A far better term than “pregnant people” in information meant for patients themselves is to opt for a direct, inclusive address. E.g:

“If you’re pregnant, you’re eligible for a free flu vaccine”.

This is technically compliant, more accessible, personal and far warmer than “pregnant people”.

This is petty, cruel and shows the bizarre priorities of NZ First.

However, Health NZ can still be inclusive and technically obey this jammy little demand by jammy little people. Here’s my comms person take 🧵

Coalition directs Health NZ to stop saying 'pregnant people'
Associate Health Minister Casey Costello has told the agency "only women and people of the female sex can get pregnant".

‘… the thrust of Prebble’s complaint seems to be that the Tribunal is adhering to the law, working within their legally prescribed boundaries and fulfilling the requirements on them. He simply doesn’t like the outcome …’

An excellent rebuttal of Prebble’s claims.

Megan Thee Stallion spiralling because they didn’t have the chips she wanted at the end of a loooong day is one of the most relatable things I’ve seen a celebrity do for sure.

Help! I need suggestions for parent-friendly tv so I don’t throttle my mother. Very low on sexiness rating, violence ok if it’s “honourable” (lol), swears ok-ish, political themes seem to only be ok if they’re from the olden days. Sigh.

Kid is fast approaching go-off-biking-by-himself age and I would really love some more safe biking infrastructure please! Unrelated reminder to vote and talk about voting in local council elections - that’s where all the fun spending decisions are made ☺️
