I really wish I were a morning person, or even a night owl tbh. I’m neither - I’m the first to sleep and the last to wake. 🥱

I broke up with Amazon in Jan and here’s what I’ve realized :
- I’ve been paying for convenience, and notice that it’s no longer the cheapest option it once was
- I’ve been saving money because I can no longer impulse spend the moment I think of an item
- my recycle bin isnt full of boxes anymore 😅

Today’s the National Economic Blackout and I’m really hoping this turns into a regular thing. One day won’t do much but I hope it gives people momentum to keep going! Maybe we do blackout Fridays for the next four years? #economicblackout

My goal this year is to read 1 banned book per month. February’s selection is Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult, which was the most banned book in 2024 according to PEN America.

Make sure you put little hats on your plant or you’ll end up with frosted tips.

if they want to go back to the 1950s, we’re bringing the cuisine back to the 1950s too. you put me in the kitchen, I will spend 100% of my time in there finding how much horseradish and shrimp I can put in Jello before God personally comes down here to stop me.

I’ve been listening to this on my commute and it’s making me rethink my relationship with my phone and social media. Some of the stats they share are pretty alarming.

Folks, the shitstorm is upon us. I don't have any pithy words to make it feel less bleak. My advice is to put your head down and focus on your local community. Get to know your neighbors, start a community garden, offer to dog/cat/babysit, bc it's gonna be our community that keeps us whole rn.

Please don’t make #booksky as toxic as #booktok was. Read whatever you want. There are no rules for enjoying a story. Audio, physical, digital…any form as long as you enjoy it.
