Heggsy boy here sounds like he’s been hanging with Hamas.
Hegseth: "As history teaches us, the only people who actually deserve peace and those who are willing to wage war to defend it. That's why pacifism is so naive and dangerous."

I am grieving the barbarism that is going to unfurl from all this. People are going to die. Livelihoods gone. All to feed a corrupt kleptocracy.

I see every day up close how different it is from the first time around. There are no guardrails. A disaster. I’m sorry we have to live through this.

Sending anyone from this country to a foreign gulag, particularly without a court hearing, should rightfully end a presidency. Full stop.

bathroom bills were considered a hugely bigoted overreach a decade ago and the backsliding on trans rights is the result of a sustained propaganda campaign by elites

the pendulum can swing back the other way if you try, and anyone who is not willing to do so is showcasing their own bigotry
the thing about “democrats should take popular cultural positions” is that what constitutes popular is a function of an interaction between the public and elites. if a faction of elites start screaming about a vulnerable minority and another faction says they have a point, this shapes the public.
In a leaked recording, State Senator Elena Parent (D-42) said she’d vote for Republican transgender healthcare bans because trans rights are too “unpopular."

"You can go right to heck. I don’t think I will lose re-election based on you screaming at me"

Can someone please tell Elon that the efficiency equation has two parts? He's completely forgetting the numerator. It's service/product per dollar spent. Eliminating the service DOES eliminate the costs, but that's not efficiency. That's simply cutting services. Where to cut & how is the hard part.

One thing Democratic leadership could do right now is to name an alternate HHS secretary--someone to provide ongoing public updates and health information. And do it for other departments too. Start showing voters what a Democratic government would look like--press conferences, speeches, all of it.

Anyway: We’re at the worst case scenario already and it’s been two weeks.

The fact that impeachment is so laughable that no one would even say the word is further evidence of how far along we are. Evidence that the constitutional machinery is broken.

I’ll never get over that all of this was avoidable and our kids could’ve had a better future had voters just made the obviously rational choice in November. It’s water under the bridge now. But what the fuck, people.

Keep an eye on the businesses that drop policies in the next few months. If they aren’t doing them when it’s hard and unpopular then they weren’t truly committed before. They were only playing lip service for profits.

I’m on the opposite end of the “better follow me back!” spectrum. The more people follow me back, the more pressure I feel to post instead of just lurk. And I don’t like it.

(You can blame this subpar skeet on the aforementioned pressure. See, this is good for no one. )
