Does anyone else experience the juxtaposition of being in your 40’s and feeling on top of your game… but then you look in the mirror and see the hands of time reminding you that your life is going by faster than you ever imagine?

It’s such an odd point in life.

Has anyone heard from JD Vance? It seems Musk has become Trump's unelected VP.

Self-care is important during these turbulent times. Before we can take care of others we must take care of ourselves.💙

Since moving here from the hellscape that is X, my feed is somehow now full of posts about how awesome libraries are and I am HERE FOR IT! Support your local libraries, they provide a warm space safe for everyone and the free gift of knowledge!

Oh, to be one of those capybaras! They look so relaxed and happy.

This year, a wild turkey adopted our place as his home base. He roosts in a tree above our house. He brings our bird-loving family a lot of joy. Anyway, here's your Turkey of the Day photo. #birds

I’ve decided to leave Scientific American after an exciting 4.5 years as editor in chief. I’m going to take some time to think about what comes next (and go birdwatching), but for now I’d like to share a very small sample of the work I’ve been so proud to support (thread)

I know this may be unpopular.

But BlueSKy needs a blue tick/verification system so we know that organisations or well known people are really who they say they are.

Removing that and making it for sale was the beginning of the end for Twitter/X

I believe we need a better internet, a place to connect and share important news. Maybe this is it. I think we need to be informed about the terrible things happening, and I’ll sure as shit share that. But we need some joy, some simplicity, too. Two things can be true (sorry I’m testing threading)

I am not a big fan of posts telling others what to do, cause you know, make of this site what you want. But I gently encourage everyone to share, not just lurk. And share the little things, your pets, things you are happy about, your effing good sandwich. Because…

Here's what I know: None of us know exactly what's going to happen, but whatever it is, we're all better off with each other...than we are alone! You...are NOT alone.💙

I am new to Bkuesky.

A little about me. I work at a library & enjoy reading. I have 1 dog. I always adopt adult dogs from local shelters. I walk w/my dog everyday! Walking is my happy place, to enjoy nature & escape people. I live in KS. As a little girl, I lived in OK, so I love weather & Braums.
