This is a bigger issue than people realise..Just supported a victim to court 4 years and 2 months after crime was reported. The mental toll was overwhelming...lives are on hold waiting for justice...
Last year, 1436 criminal court hearings were delayed because there was no barrister to represent one side or the other.
Back in 2019, that number was just 71.
