Really enjoyed talking to Joel at Tripwire about our recent DC Comics/Penguin Random House Audio, though worth mentioning that this is a transcript of a live chat and at times I may sound a like I had sunk a few bourbons* beforehand. Honest guv, not a drop touched me lips.
(*Afterwards*, though …)

Fuck you, Donald Trump, you fucking waste of skin. Your Daddy didn’t love you because you are a piece of shit barely clinging to the category of human. I hope tonight is the night you finally shit yourself to death, you narcissistic, pathetic, useless wanker.

Have just woken up and read the awful news about Rob Reiner. I think I’m a little in shock tbh. He was a genius - a number of my all time favourite films exist because of him. I can’t quite take it in that he’s gone, much less that he and his wife died in such a violent way. What a horrible loss.

What a horrible, horrible attack in Australia. Heartbroken to think of those who died and those who have lost loved ones. And of those at Brown University in the USA. Human capacity for horrific cruelty always appals and bewilders me in equal measure.

Literally the moral of every single science fiction story featuring some form of Artificial Intelligence, arguably as far back as Frankenstein, is 'make sure it can't stop you switching it off'.

Doomed, I tell you. Doomed.

It’s International Men’s Day and I celebrate all the wonderful men I am lucky to have in my life - relatives, friends and colleagues. They exemplify the best of what it is to be a man - kind, generous, thoughtful, courageous, vulnerable, honest, loving, nurturing, supportive, smart, funny, open.

RELEASED TODAY thanks to Penguin Random House and DC Comics our ‘audio movie’ of the graphic novel KINGDOM COME by Mark Waid and Alex Ross. This production gave me the chance to return after three decades to both Metropolis *and* Gotham City. Here's what the author says about our new version: 1/14

With Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman & more - even the Joker - after three decades I'm back in Metropolis and Gotham City in November with KINGDOM COME by Mark Waid and Alex Ross, a fully cast, cinematic audio drama from DC and Penguin Random House Audio, with music by my SANDMAN pal James Hannigan.

On the off chance anyone finds themselves short of an actor last minute for pantos (especially in Glasgow or the Central Belt of Scotland), I am VERY available and very good at learning lines REALLY quickly.

One of the biggest reasons to love Douglas’s epic and why I was so thrilled when he asked me to “bring it home to radio”.
I've been getting back into the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series after many years, and the most relatable part is how everyday objects like doors and elevators have been imbued with artificial intelligence and it just makes them obnoxious and frustrating to use and everyone hates it.

It seems the old lie has come around again that English is a 'rip-off' degree, and that the study of our language and literature is not worth the time and money.

Which is exactly what someone who uses language to manipulate and deceive you on a daily basis *wants* you to think. 1/3
