Finally I can post about politics again
Does Starmer really have the political capital to keep doing this after the huge rebellion on the disability benefits?
Sources confirm that Labour suspending at least three MPs - others could follow and some expected to get warnings.

They are three new MPs - Neil Duncan Jordan who spoke out first against winter fuel, Chris Hinchliff who led rebellion on planning and Brian Leishman.

Possible there could be more

🚨BREAKING: UN experts have urged the UK not to misuse terrorism laws against Palestine Action.

"Mere property damage, without endangering life, is not sufficiently serious to qualify as terrorism", they write.

This government cutting benefits for those unable to work, proposing to raise the age to 22 and continued narrative about workshy really makes clear who they hate. If you’re young and disabled this government sees you as a stain on society. No different to the Tories that came before them

Rachel Reeves promised to be the first green chancellor.

Instead, subscribing to the false narrative growth & net-zero are opposing, she is shredding this government’s environmental credentials to chase GDP. Please sign ⬇️

Don't expand Heathrow Airport!
URGENT: The Government could let a third runway be built at Heathrow Airport. It would spell bad news for the environment - and could see flight prices go up £40 per ticket, so bad for our pockets too...

NEW: The savage impact of Labour’s housing benefit cuts has emerged - government figures show they will cost private sector tenants in all but the cheapest properties hundreds of pounds a year on average, with some areas seeing four-figure cuts

By me, for Big Issue:

Housing benefit freeze will cost low-income renters hundreds of pounds a year
Labour's decision to freeze local housing allowance rates has imposed a housing benefit cut on renters costing them hundreds of pounds.

Rachel Reeves backing net-zero and saying it’s an opportunity of a lifetime is fundamentally incompatible with backing airport expansion

A third runway at #Heathrow in the midst of a climate emergency is a vile act of vandalism. Rachel Reeves is happy to burn the planet for a tiny (probably elusive) increment of GDP. How does this benefit us?

Not a good look for Rachel Reeves to say ‘growth trumps all other things’ yikes
UK Energy Secretary Ed Miliband is in another fight with the Treasury.

And, as the government desperately pursues good news on economic growth, he looks destined to lose again.

The words “climate change” do not appear anywhere on the front page

Sickening that the right are politicising the LA fires and blaming DEI when they call climate change a hoax

The LA fires being the worst in history is a stark reminder we’re not walking towards climate disaster we’re already there

New piece. Elon Musk wants to be the whole world’s unelected dictator.

I mean that literally.

The strategy is succeeding in the US. But it’s being implemented the world over.

It may be easy to dismiss because it sounds outlandish. He’s depending on that.

Negotiations of the Global Plastic Treaty at INC5 failed as a small no. of petrostates led by Saudi Arabia held them hostage using delay tactics, unwillingness to negotiate and weaponizing consensus. Incredibly frustrating to see as 100+ countries backed a Treaty that would curb plastic production
